Paula Mattisonsierra
Paula Mattisonsierra is the Founder and Marketing Director of Power Marketing SF, an off-site marketing department serving small to mid-sized businesses across the Bay Area and beyond.
With over 25 years of marketing, branding, and business development experience, Paula helps business owners bridge the gap between vision and execution. Her firm develops and manages long-term, tactical marketing plans that align strategy, storytelling, and operations ensuring every marketing effort has a solid business foundation.
Paula believes marketing only works when operations do. Her guiding principle:

Small Business Development Center (2007–Present)
As a Business Advisor for the SBDC in San Francisco, San Mateo, and Alameda Counties, Paula has helped hundreds of small business owners launch, grow, and stabilize their companies.
She advises on marketing, operations, and retail strategy, and has taught seminars across California.
Founder & Designer — Maximum Mama Maternity (2000–2008)
Before launching Power Marketing SF, Paula founded Maximum Mama Maternity, an international wholesale clothing brand featured in over 85 retail stores worldwide. As Founder and Lead Designer, she managed everything from product design and manufacturing to marketing and sales strategy. Her entrepreneurial success gave her deep insight into the challenges and opportunities of running a business experience she now brings to every client relationship.

Early Career — National Advertising Leadership
Paula began her career in New York City at Hal Riney & Partners, managing an $85 million media budget for clients including Saturn GM, Subway Sandwiches, and John Deere. Her early experience in large-scale media planning sharpened her ability to balance creativity with data-driven performance.
She also worked at Griffin Bacal Advertising (Hasbro International) and Group Westinghouse / CMT, managing public relations and national campaigns.
Teaching & Thought Leadership
Paula served as Faculty Member in Marketing and Product Development at both the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising and the Art Institute of California, San Francisco from 2004 to 2009.
She continues to teach and speak for Small Business Development Centers throughout California, focusing on marketing strategy, retail management, and brand storytelling.
She’s also the host of TEN@10, a weekly online show where she interviews leading professionals and business partners to share practical insights with humor and authenticity.
